Hampden Park - Eating and Drinking near Hampden Park Glasgow

Published: 6th July 2010

There’s a wide choice of good food and Glasgow has its share of great restaurants and cafes. Curries, Chinese food, pizzas, sushi – you name it, it’s all on the menu.
Your trip wouldn’t be complete without trying some haggis. It’s best with neeps and tatties (turnips and potatoes).
You could also sample some salmon, and some game. Scotland has some of the world’s best venison and pheasant on offer to fill you up.

The traditional Scottish drink is whisky and there are hundreds of variations to try. As for beer Tennents Lager is brewed in the city and is the name you’ll see on many beer pumps.  Lager is sold in two sizes – pint or half pint.

Off Sales and supermarkets also sell alcohol and, just like the pubs, you need to be 18 to buy any.
