THREE cars owned by a Hereford man and inspired by a classic film are gracing the small screen in the company of two star footballers.

A trio of Mini Cooper replicas individually painted red, white and blue in tribute to the Michael Caine film The Italian Job are appearing in a World Cup advert for Ladbrokes starring Ian Wright and Chris Kamara

Greg Jenkins, of Kings Acre, was contacted to take his cars down to a studio in London to star in the advertising campaign for the betting chain.

The cars have been fitted with spot lights, alloy wheels and bonnet straps by Greg, who works at the N Jenkins and Sons garage in Stretton Sugwas.

“I like the patriotic nature of it and I've been a big fan of Minis since an early age,”

said Greg. “Ian and Chris signed the dashboards of all three. They are both good blokes and they are exactly the same as they are on screen.”

Greg's red mini also featured in the family drama series Framed, starring Trevor Eve, and Eve Myles, which was screened on BBC1 last year.
