About:
A Ping Pong restaurant is a modern take on a very ancient Chinese tradition. Hundreds of years ago, merchants on the Silk Road would stop at tea houses en route to rest their weary feet, relax and drink tea with their fellow travellers and share Dim Sum – baskets and dishes of little sweet and savoury snacks, usually steamed, baked or fried. We’ve kept all the best bits of that ancient tradition, like meeting to relax and share appetizing food and fragrant tea. We just thought that after the first thousand years or so, it would be OK to add cocktails to the menu.
Dim Sum is served quickly and it’s easy to eat, but it definitely isn’t fast food. Everything on our menu is hand made from fresh ingredients every day by our own specialist Dim Sum chefs. No machine could replicate their extraordinary skill.

Dim Sum:
Ordering food at Ping Pong is easy; simply mark your choices on the tally sheet provided. Our staff are on hand to make suggestions if you're not sure what to choose.
We also have a number of set menus which are a good introduction to eating dim sum. Most Ping Pong dishes include 3 pieces of dim sum per serving. Steamed dishes are served in bamboo baskets; and baked and fried dim sum are served on white plates. Some are very traditional, others are our own creations, inspired by our heritage but with a modern twist. We also have soup and rice dishes on the menu with an oriental flavour. Use the links above to view or download all of our different menus.
You will also find a regularly changing menu of specials to choose from. It's great fun to order lots of different things and share, and there are plenty of vegetarian options.

Cocktails:
We have a good range of wines, spirits, beers and soft drinks, but pride of place on the drinks menu goes to our famous cocktails - not just delicious but as reasonably priced as our food.
Choose from a wide selection of Martinis and Long cocktails made from fresh and intriguing ingredients, with new cocktail specials entering the repertoire on a regular basis. even our Ping Pong soft drinks are freshly made and really tasty, so anyone avoiding alcohol needn't feel deprived.

Teas:
Well, you couldn't call yourself a Tea House if you didn't serve tea could you? We serve several varieties of Chinese teas, including our famous flowering teas - individual tea 'balls' served in a long glass. Hot water is added from a copper kettle, and within a few minutes the most beautiful 'flower' has blossomed in front of your eyes.
It's a lovely way to end a meal, and a refreshing and healthy drink to have at any time of day.
