BBC HR boss resigns after refusing to move from Wood Lane Television Centre

The BBC has hit the headlines recently over plans to move 1,500 staff from it's Wood Lane Television Centre to Salford near Manchester. But the broadcaster faced futher embarassment when it emerged last week that it's HR director, tasked with migrating the staff, resigned because he is unable to move himself.
According to HR magazine, Paul Gaskill, HR director of BBC North, who has been with the organisation for seven months and earns a salary of £190,000, left the BBC on 30 July.
Lucy Adams, director of BBC people, said: "It is with regret that I have to let you know that PaulGaskin has made the very difficult decision to leave the BBC at the end of [July].
"Unforeseen family circumstances mean Paul is now unable to relocate to Salford and he felt it would be unfair to continue in his role knowing that he could not commit to being part of the future North team."
Apparently Gaskill admitted to a Mail on Sunday journalist that his resignation was an embarassment to the BBC but the broadcaster dismissed this as not accurate.
