London Mayor, Boris Johnson relies on Trafalgar Square pigeons to keep performing `world class` performances

Published: 20th June 2010

The world famous pigeons living on London's world famous landmark - Trafalgar Square are now celebrating the correct decision made by London Mayor, Boris Johnson, not to allow a giant TV screen to be placed on Tragalgar Square to allow English football fans to watch the first three England World Cup games at the South Africa 2010 World Cup.

The London Mayor, Boris Johnson was severely criticised by some of his political foes and even political allies for stopping a giant TV screen to be placed on Trafalgar Square to allow English football fans watch all the England World Cup games right up to the World Cup Final when England were tipped to pick up the Jules Rimet Trophy as the winning team of the 2010 FIFA World Cup

But now the heavily criticised London Mayor has earned the last laugh among his political foes and allies after the recent hard fought draw by the mighty England football team against the World Cup minnows - Algeria. By stopping the world famous Trafalgar Square landmark appearing in the 2011 Guiness Books of Records for hosting the world record breaking `Sleep-Over` should the England versus Algeria World Cup football game had been shown on a large TV screen on Trafalgar Square last Friday night.

Even the Trafalgar Square much loved and admired pigeons, with fans all over the globe, were still able to put in a good and well balanced performance for visitors to Trafalgar Square on Friday night during the England versus Algeria World Cup football game.  Enthralling Londoners and tourists with their great skills and athleticism and endurance at `home` on Trafalgar Square.  Definately `world superstars` in the world of pigeons.

Fortunately for visitors to Trafalgar Square on Wednesday afternoon 23rd June 2010 the Trafalgar Square `world class` pigeons will be still performing and showing their `world class` skills to their fans late afternoon when the vital World Cup football match England versus Slovenia will be getting played at the Nelson Mandela Football Stadium in Port Elizabeth in South Africa.

Luckily for the Trafalgar Square visitors, and many England football fans trying to find `peace` away from having to watch the early World Cup departure of the well tipped 2010 FIFA World Cup winning team, England on Wednesday afternoon - no giant screen showing England's last match at the 2010 World Cup Finals will be available at Trafalgar Square - thanks to the very popular London Mayor - Boris Johnson.

The London Mayor is well known for his great sense of humour, even while under attack from his political foes and allies - with his recent announcement, last week, that big screens will be placed on Trafalgar Square should England reach the later stages of the 2010 World Football Cup.  Even the pigeons on Trafalgar Square are all cooing cooing about that recent JOKE by the London Mayor - Boris Johnson.

At least the pigeons on Trafalgar Square will still be performing on the world stage on England's London Trafalgar Square after Wednesday 23rd June 2010!!!!
