What is tottenham court road famous for? Tottenham Court Road, London Middlesex England

Tottenham Court Road is one of the most popular roads in London, this first became very popular and well known when Queen Elizabeth leased a house in the 15th century. The property was known as Tottenham Court.

Shortly after the second world war the road became very well know for selling world war electrical equipment. Proops Brothers and Z & I Aero Services were two of the earliest shops that were established along the road.

Since then many stores have opened, particularly electronic stores such as, Micro Anvika which opened in 1984 and soon became one of the top retailers in the UK.
