It took a whilem but the Aussies (finally) dish out a beating in the fourth ODI at the oval yesterday. After nearing six and over in making 290-5, they skittled out England for just 212, winning handsomely by 78 runs.

Underestimate this Australian side at your peril, captain and vice-captain both led from the front with knocks of 92 and 99 not out (so close!) respectively. James Anderson reverted back to his 'boundary fodder' output, the upper order getting stuck in to the tune of 1-66 in his ten overs. Lots of starts amongst the England batsmen including a brisk 57 from Michael Yardy, before the Australian quicks cleaned up the tail: Ryan Harris finished with 5-32 and Doug Bollinger provided champagne support (ho ho) with 2-38.

3-1 with final ODI at Lords on Saturday 3rd.
