The lido at Highbury FieldsCame across this picture on the web the other day (at the English Heritage site, www.heritageexplorer.org.uk - it is their copyright). It shows the old lido on Highbury Fields which backed onto Highbury Place.

Now the pool has been covered over. It is still a nice feature of living here but what fun the outdoor lido must have been. And what a wonderfully evocative sixties image. © English Heritage.NMR
