Liverpool's first Halloween Howler Fun Run
30 October 2010 - 30 October 2010
Fancy taking on a devilishly ghoulish challenge this Halloween? Dare you run 6.66k down the petrifying paths of the Liverpool Docks?
The Stroke Association wonders if you have the guts to take on the first ever Liverpool Halloween Howler fun run, starting from the Albert Dock and continuing along the Liverpool waterfront to Otterspool on Halloween Eve (Saturday 30 October). With zombies and vampires to guide you on your task you're bound to have a haunting experience!
For those who really want to get into the spirit of the challenge, why not run in fancy dress? Whether you're a witch or wizard, a ghost or a ghoul you'll all be welcome to take part.
If you survive the hellish run you'll receive a goodie bag with all kinds of terrifying treats inside as well as a medal to wear as a talisman to protect you from the evils that lurk in Liverpool! You'll also be invited to our very own Monster Mash at a local bar after the event. Don't miss it, it's going to be a graveyard smash!
Registration opens at 6.00pm with the race for your life starting at 7.00pm. Anyone wishing to take part can sign up at www.stroke.org.uk/halloween today! There is a £10 registration fee and a £50 minimum sponsorship target per person for this event.
If you can't take part but would like to volunteer, the event organisers at the Stroke Association would love to hear from you. For more information about the Halloween Howler or how to volunteer, telephone 0161 742 7484 or email halloween@stroke.org.uk.
