Pool's players return to training
Published: 9th July 2010
Pool's players were today reunited for the first time since winning promotion when they embarked on pre-season training.
Rob Edwards was among those reporting back, despite being out of contract.
The option on his old contract wasn't taken up.
But manager Ian Holloway wants Edwards to stay at the club and the centre half, who has Premier League experience from his Aston Villa days, has been offered a new deal.
Edwards remains in discussion with the club and will train with the Seasiders while making his decision.
Steve Thompson took training today.
Holloway doesn't return from a family holiday until Monday.
