Tangerines close to completing first signing of summer

Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston is hopeful they can make Dekel Keinan their first signing of the summer.

As revealed by skysports.com at the weekend, Oysten is positive that a deal to sign the Israel international is edging ever closer and is hopeful that negotiations will be completed very soon.

The 25-year-old has been on trial at Bloomfield Road and manager Ian Holloway has offered him a two-year deal with the Premier League newcomers.

The highly-rated central defender is available on a free transfer after deciding not to renew his contract at Haifa.

Oyston told Sky Sports News: "We've spoken to Dekel and his representatives and we're hopeful that we can finish the deal off.

"Obviously, the deal is subject to a work permit."
