Holloway takes steady approach
Blackpool boss inundated with calls from agents
Blackpool manager Ian Holloway says he has received thousands of calls from agents recommending players to him this summer.
The Seasiders will be competing in the Premier League next season after clinching promotion from the Championship via the play-offs.
It will be Blackpool's maiden campaign in the Premier League and they have been widely tipped to slip back out of the top-flight at the first time of asking.
Holloway has yet to make any additions to his squad during the transfer window, and insists he is taking a cautious approach.
"I feel like a gold prospector," he said. "One of them may be a lump of gold but most won't be.
"I'm being serious when I say we've had thousands, not hundreds, of players recommended to us by agents.
"But although I need players, I won't be launching myself into the transfer market and making crazy signings of overpaid and overrated players.
"Everyone else has fallen into that trap but I'm not going to.
"I am going to take my time, work with my chairman and try to get some real good people in to help my lads, who were so fantastic last season."
Blackpool are believed to be close to completing a deal for Dekel Keinan, the 25-year-old Israeli defender from Maccabi Haifa, and have also been linked with Borussia Monchengladbach's American midfielder Michael Bradley
