Clarke suffers injury blow
Irishman could face three months out
Blackpool striker Billy Clarke is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury.
The 22-year-old forward picked up the knock less than two minutes into the Seasiders' pre-season friendly clash against Tiverton Town on Friday and could be out of action for three months.
Blackpool are preparing for life in the Premier League following their promotion from the Championship last term via the play-offs.
Manager Ian Holloway
revealed Clarke's injury will not be cured easily and admitted it is a big blow.
He said: "It's a bit worrying for us and for Bill. He's going to be out for at least two months, possibly three.
"He's definitely got a bit of meniscus, which is cartilage, and he's definitely got an anterior cruciate which is torn and it's not going to be a quick fix."
