Holloway to make Keinan his first addition

We understand Blackpool are poised to sign Israel international Dekel Keinan.

Keinan, who is currently plying his trade with Maccabi Haifa, is believed to have been on trial at Bloomfield Road.

The 25-year-old is understood to have impressed Pool boss Ian Holloway and he is now ready to make the central defender his first signing of the summer.

Keinan is highly-regarded in Israel and was linked with a move to Bolton in 2007, but he opted to stay in Israel.

However, it appears Keinan could be set for a move to the Premier League with Blackpool offering him a two-year deal at the club.

Here is a bit of info on Dekel Keinan...

Dekel Keinan (born September 15, 1984) is an Israeli footballer currently playing his trade at Blackpool.

Keinan is considered one of the best defenders in Israel. His talents were first showcased whilst playing for the Israel U-21 squad that advanced to the 2007 European U-21 Championships. This soon lead to Keinan reportedly drawing interest from English Premiership side Bolton Wanderers in January 2007.

Keinan has been ever present in the senior national team squads since his first call-up in 2007. He made six appearances for the Israel national football team in qualifying matches for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He may have made more appearances during the qualifying campaign had he not picked up a suspension in the latter stages.
