A traffic management summary for both new and ongoing work

The information provided in this report is correct as of the above date but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

M25 Junction 16 to Junction 23 Ongoing work to widen this section of the M25 to four lanes in each direction between junctions 17 and 21a continues this week. Three narrow lanes in each direction will be available during busy times, with off peak lane closures as required, mostly overnight. A 50mph speed restriction is in place between junctions 17 and 21a that operates 24 hours a day. A free recovery service is available.

M25 Junction 27 to Junction 30 Ongoing work to widen M25 to four lanes in each direction between junctions 27 and 28 continues this week. Three narrow lanes in each direction will be available during busy times, with off peak lane closures as required, mostly overnight. Currently a 50mph speed limit is in place operating 24 hours a day. A free recovery service is available. The traffic management switch for the second section of work between junction 28 and 29 will start on the 23 July and will take up to two weeks. Work on the new section is expected to start at the beginning of August.

M11 Junction 6 The southbound link road leading to the clockwise M25 will be closed overnight for 26 nights from 10pm to 5.30am from Monday 05 July 2010 until Friday 06 August 2010 for construction/improvement work. A diversion route will be fully signposted. Moderate delays are expected.

M11 Junction 6 The northbound link road leading to the clockwise M25 will be closed overnight for 13 nights from 10pm to 5.30am from Saturday 17 July 2010 until Friday 30 July 2010 for construction/improvement work. A diversion route will be fully signposted. Moderate delays are expected.

M25 Junction 21a The anti-clockwise exit and entry slip roads will be closed overnight for 4 nights from 10pm to 5am from Monday 26 July for construction improvement work. A diversion route will be fully signposted. Moderate delays are expected.

M25 Junction 21 The anti-clockwise link road to the northbound M1 will be closed overnight for 4 nights from 10pm to 5am from Monday 26 July for construction improvement work. A diversion route will be fully signposted. Moderate delays are expected.

M25 Junction 17 The clockwise exit slip road at junction 17 will be closed overnight for 4 nights from 10pm to 5am from Friday 23 July 2010 for structural work. The closure will start at 11pm on Friday night. A diversion route will be fully signposted. Moderate delays are expected.

M25 Junction 18 The clockwise exit slip road at junction 18 will be closed overnight for 3 nights from 10pm to 5.30am from Friday 23 July 2010 for structure-new/reconstruction work. The closure will start at 11pm on Friday night. A diversion route will be fully signposted. Moderate delays are expected.

M25 Junction 18 The anti-clockwise entry slip road at junction 18 will be closed overnight for 3 nights from 10pm to 5.30am from Friday 23 July 2010 for structural work. The closure will start at 11pm on Friday night. A diversion route will be fully signposted. Moderate delays are expected.

M1 Junction 6 / M25 Junction 21 The southbound link road to the anti-clockwise M25 will be closed overnight for 4 nights from 10pm to 5am from Monday 26 July for construction and improvement work. A diversion route will be fully signposted. Moderate delays are expected.

QE2 Bridge
The QE2 bridge crossing will be closed from 10pm to 5am on Saturday 24 July for bridge maintenance work. A diversion will be fully signposted. Slight delays are expected.

M25 Junction 2 The anti-clockwise exit slip road at junction 2 will be closed overnight for 14 nights from 10pm to 5.30am from Monday 26 July for reconstruction and repair work on the carriageway. The closure will start at 11pm on Friday night. A diversion route will be fully signposted. Moderate delays are expected.

M25 Junction 10 The anti-clockwise entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight from 10pm to 5am on Monday 26 July for litter clearance. A diversion route will be fully signposted. Moderate delays are expected.

M25 Junction 11 The clockwise entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight from 10pm to 5am on Tuesday 27 July for litter clearance. A diversion route will be fully signposted. Moderate delays are expected.

M25 Junction 11 The anti-clockwise entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight from 10pm to 5am on Wednesday 28 July for litter clearance. A diversion route will be fully signposted. Moderate delays are expected.

M25 Junction 12 The clockwise link roads to the M3 in both directions will be closed overnight from 10pm to 5am on Thursday 29 July for litter clearance. A diversion route will be fully signposted. Moderate delays are expected.

M25 Junction 12 The anti-clockwise link roads to the M3 in both directions will be closed overnight from 11pm to 5am on Friday 30 July for litter clearance. A diversion route will be fully signposted. Moderate delays are expected.

A2 Westbound Darenth Interchange The westbound entry slip road will be closed overnight for 14 nights from 10pm to 5am from Monday 26 July for carriageway/reconstruction repairs. The closure will start at 11pm on Friday night. A diversion route will be fully signposted. Moderate delays are expected.

A1(M) Hatfield Tunnel Phase 3 of this major tunnel refurbishment scheme started on Monday 14 June 2010, and is expected to be complete in Spring 2011. Throughout this phase, the southbound tunnel will be closed and a two lane contraflow, with narrow lanes and a 40mph speed limit 24 hours a day will operate in the northbound tunnel. Drivers should expect moderate delays. A free recovery service is in place.
